Welcome to The Star Inn the Marsh

Welcome to The Star Inn, where you are a stranger only once. We offer a warm and friendly atmosphere to make you feel at home. The Star Inn started as a farm dwelling in the 15th Century, the oldest part by the fireplace was the original dwelling, the front bar added on in the 16th century and the restaurant and kitchen in the 21st century so quite a mixture. The whole building is grade 2 listed and we strive to maintain the character of the original property.
We have three comfortable bedrooms, two en-suite double rooms and one twin room with adjacent bathroom with Bath & Shower. All rooms have tea making facilities, and television.

The restaurant is open every night except Sunday. We have a varied menu with plenty of vegetarian options. at very reasonable prices. There is also a snack and sandwich menu for lunch times. On Sundays we do a traditional English Roast dinner of either Beef, Chicken or home made Steak and Kidney Pie.
Restaurant
We pride ourselves on not doing 'fast food' but good food as fast as we can!
We serve real ales in the bar from Shepherd & Neame, The Rother Valley Brewery Company with regulars such as Masterbrew, Young's Special, and two guest beers that are changed regularly. We have a fine selection of wines and spirits.
Bar
Children are welcome in the bars as long as they are supervised by parents up until 7.00. in the evening. Dogs are also welcome as long as they are kept on a lead. We do not encourage them in the rooms.
Restaurant
We have a nice garden with wonderful views across the marsh and a beautiful church opposite. We are on two cycle routes and plenty of footpaths for walkers through the fields.
There is pool, darts, cards, dominos and some board games for the children.
So stay, enjoy the fayre and reflect on those bygone days.
